a weekend in photos.

What did I do this weekend, you ask? 

Let me show you :)

Thursday started off with some of my very best friends at a local outdoor jazz concert:

I had Friday off from work, so I took my madre downtown for Food Truck Friday & a picnic...

...where we ate our weight in crepes, bacon + bleu cheese sliders + sweet potato fries. Heaven. 

Then a quick trip to my grad school campus (both my parents' alma mater!) to get a look around & pose ever-so-dorkily in front of the building where my department is housed :)

Friday wrapped up with a yum-o dinner with Sara talking music, blogging & baking over old fashioneds (which I hadn't tried until now-- and let me say, yum.) 

Saturday began with an awesome job interview for a bilingual nannying job (which I totally got! Hooray!) and of course had to celebrate by painting my nails with my new super-glittery nail polish.

I did a little sneaking around in the kitchen to whip together these hotdog-on-a-grill cupcakes for my dad for Father's Day (just yellow sugar sprinkles, chocolate frosting, and hot tamales candies :))

...and finished with a trip to Half Price Books to sell a giant bag of books. For which I was given $5. Which I then spent all of on this movie. Worth it.

And Sunday, I left the instagram-ing at the door to spend a day celebrating Father's Day with my dad + family :) All in all, a lovely weekend. What were you up to this weekend?
