Okay, I'll admit it. Until riiight before I left for my semester abroad, I never, ever wore a watch. I was under the impression that my cellphone works just fine, thankyouverymuch... but when I went abroad, I knew I'd need a more reliable way to check the time, so I invested in a basic, cute watch that did the job just fine. I figured I'd get sick of wearing it after a few weeks like I always had in the past, but sure enough, a year and a half later, I'm still wearing it daily. Besides being a superbly functional accessory, a watch can add quite a bit to a look-- as evidenced by the more masculine watch styles that are crazy popular right now.

Why am I rambling about watches, might you ask? Well, my beloved London watch is clearly on its last leg (it keeps trying to tell me it's 9:40, regardless of how many times I change the battery. Bummer.) so I've been having major watch lust lately (ahem, Orient Mako, anyone?). So when Orient Watch contacted me about offering one of their awesome mechanical watches, valued at $135, to one of my lovely readers, I jumped at the chance!
