can and cannot.

After graduating from college and successfully proving to myself and the world that I am, indeed, an upright citizen who can do things like take really hard classes and write really ridiculously ridiculous research papers and survive off of late-night cereal and extra-strong black tea during finals week, I'd like to think there are few things I can't accomplish.

However, there is a small list of the relatively unaccomplishable for this post-grad girl. 

1. I can't keep my hair not-curly in the summertime. Thanks, humidity. I've mostly surrendered to you, with the exception of my bangs. And those curly buggers and I will go down fighting. 

2. I cannot post pictures from like, two weeks ago, and remember anything about my outfit choices or mental state on that day that's worth telling you. Things I do remember? This photo sesh with Sara was taken after hours of exhaustive apartment hunting to no avail. Craigslist, you're on my list. Also, can you tell I was tired?

3. I can't not let my spirits be lifted on a gorgeous day like this in my lovely city. It's been a month now that I've been back for good, and while I still miss the Twin Cities and can't believe that I won't still have to pack up all my stuff at the end of summer and move back, I am falling head-over-heels in love with Milwaukee all over again. Seriously, can you just try to look at this photo below and not be filled with sunshine and rainbows? Not possible.  

5. I can't go anywhere without an extra tube of mascara, cherry lip balm, or deodorant on hand. Story of my life. 

6. Finally, even though I am finding it quite hard to do the contrary, I can't quite lose hope that my perfect apartment is just sitting, waiting, wishing for future roomie Sara and I to find it. Discouraged though we may have been at the end of the day, the whole day absolutely reaffirmed my choice to make Milwaukee my full-time home. 

And wouldn't you know, I just can't help but smile :)
